Introducing Flock — Church Management, Simplified

It's been a busy season at Faith Forged Studios, and we're excited to finally share what we've been working on.
A Quick Studio Update
When we started Faith Forged Studios back in 2022, it began with a simple idea — give the next generation a positive reason to pick up their phones. That idea became The SOAP Dish, a Bible study journal built around the SOAP method. Since then, The SOAP Dish has gone through multiple rewrites and is currently being rebuilt from the ground up with a modern stack and a whole new set of features.
But as we talked with more churches and ministry leaders, we kept hearing the same frustration: everything is scattered. Member info lives in a spreadsheet. Events are managed in Outlook. Room bookings happen through email chains. Giving is tracked in yet another system. And somehow, it all has to come together on Sunday morning.
That's where Flock comes in.
What is Flock?
Flock is a modern, cloud-based church management platform designed to bring everything under one roof. Members, giving, events, groups, room bookings, scheduling, reporting — all in one place, purpose-built for how churches actually work.
We're not trying to build the most feature-packed enterprise platform on the market. We're building something that's simple, intuitive, and accessible — whether you're a small congregation of 50 or a multi-campus church of thousands.
Here's a snapshot of what Flock will include at launch:
- Member Management — A complete, searchable directory with family grouping, status tracking, and pastoral notes.
- Giving & Donations — Online giving via card and bank transfer, recurring schedules, designated funds, and tax-compliant contribution statements. Funds go directly to your church's bank account — Flock never holds your money.
- Events & Attendance — Event creation, registration, RSVP management, and attendance tracking across services and outreach events.
- Groups & Ministries — Manage small groups, ministry teams, and committees with enrollment, sub-groups, and group-level communication.
- Room Booking — A facility calendar with conflict detection, approval workflows, and equipment tracking.
- Scheduling — A service schedule builder with role assignments, availability management, and one-click confirmations via email.
- Reporting — Attendance trends, giving summaries, member growth, and exportable reports your leadership team can actually use.
- Multi-Campus Support — Every campus is a first-class citizen with scoped members, events, rooms, and cross-campus reporting.
And that's just version one. We've already got child check-in, volunteer management, a member self-service portal, broadcast messaging, and a mobile app on the roadmap.
Why We're Building This
We believe churches deserve modern, well-designed software — not clunky legacy systems with outdated interfaces and complicated pricing. Too many platforms on the market today are either overbuilt and overpriced, or too basic to be useful.
Flock sits in the middle. Powerful enough to handle the real complexity of church operations, but simple enough that your volunteer coordinator can pick it up without a training session.
What's Next
Flock is currently in early development. We're heads-down building the core platform and we'll be sharing progress updates here on the blog as things take shape.
